In an effort to maintain the quality of our collaboratively edited resources while imposing the fewest possible restrictions on who can create and edit content, Stack Exchange utilizes several layers of spam protection.
While our systems are still learning to trust new users, additional positing limits might be imposed if the system detects that a large amount of spam or abusive content has been posted from others utilizing your Internet provider in your area.
If you are seeing this message, indicating that the system is limiting how often you can post:
You can only post 2 times each day due to the volume of spam and abuse originating from your network.
You are seeing this message because a number of accounts originating from your area have been detected as being created purely to post unsolicited advertisements, abuse/hate speech, or a combination of the two. Until either the system learns to trust your account a little more while you browse from your current location, or the abuse stops (whichever comes first), you may only post on the site two times per 24-hour period.
This block will naturally lift within a day or two, or as soon as established members of the community have expressed approval of some of your contributions. You can try contributing from another location; however, this type of block is generally very temporary.
If you are seeing this message, indicating that the system is preventing you from posting altogether:
Your post cannot be submitted at this time due to the volume of spam and abuse originating from your network. We apologize for any inconvenience.
This means that the abuse was extremely severe, and that we unfortunately can't accept your contribution until the abuse has subsided. Unfortunately, in most cases, this will mean that you need to contribute to the site from an alternate location until a few of your contributions have been well-received by the community.
