Technologies
Teams at Audible have the freedom to utilize the technologies that best suit their needs. Whether those are open source, third party, or internal Amazon tools, teams are empowered to make their own decisions about what works best for them. Audible is built on top of the powerful resources of Amazon’s tools including internal platforms and frameworks as well as more familiar technologies like AWS, S3, and EC2. These technologies enable a powerful base for development that enables teams to truly focus on building the best experiences possible for our users, rather than building low level tools. With the resources of Amazon as well as the Service Oriented Architecture across Amazon, teams at Audible can focus on easily scaling applications, building new features quickly, and leveraging the work other Amazon teams have done to quickly integrate and expand functionality. Audible also encourages the use of open source software and contributions back to projects through the Open Source team at Amazon.
